REVIEW: Trader Joe’s Just a Handful of Olives Pitted Salted Manzanilla Olives

I’m gonna level with you: I almost didn’t write this review because I kind of don’t want the word to get out about how good these olives are. I get that that makes me selfish, but I also buy these ten packs at a time and I don’t want competition when I’m trying to get my fix.

Now, because I’m feeling charitable I’ll be honest – these are a game changer. They’re perfect little parcels of buttery small green olives packed without brine so that you can snack on them with abandon and not worry about spilling olive juice all over yourself. One pack is allegedly a serving size, but real talk: I will eat as many of these as I have in front of me at any given time and I will. Not. Stop. I keep packs at work for the midday doldrums, in my purse for weekend wanderings, and in my carryon whenever I fly. I’ve also used them in a martini in a pinch and they were flawless.

They’re also $0.99 a pack, so there really isn’t a reason not to buy at least five the next time you’re in Trader Joe’s (unless you’re saving some for me, in which case please and thank you and I’ll take them all.)

PRICE: $0.99

WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM?: Um, YES. On the one hand I hate to say that, because now I’ll be fending off other dedicated shoppers vying for the last packs, but on the other these are just too good to not talk about. I stock up like a squirrel prepping for winter and I have zero regrets.
